After many months of anticipation Microsoft has introduced its controversial "Recall" feature, along with other AI-powered applications for Copilotand PCs. This marks the beginning of a significant step with regard to Windows 11 update.

The latest AI features are available now on Copilotand PCs

Microsoft has started the process of rolling out its highly-discussed Microsoft Recall rollout option (in preview) along with Click-to-Do and an enhanced Windows Search, for select Copilot+ PCs. The new AI capabilities are designed to increase productivity and improve the user experience when using Windows 11.

"Windows was always the first place the most innovative computing technology is created," said Navjot Virk the Corporate Vice President, Windows Experiences. He said that with Copilotand PCs, users get the most efficient, fastest and safest Windows 11 Recall built to date.

Compatibility Across Snapdragon, Intel, and AMD Systems

The recently launched recall feature is accessible on Copilotand PCs that are equipped with Snapdragon, Intel, and AMD processors. But, certain features like the text-based actions of Click-to-Do are only available to models powered by Snapdragon at present.

Microsoft launched Copilot+ PCs on May 20, 2024. Since then, they've increased in popularity with 15 percent of all premium PC sales as of January 2025. The initial price was $999, but with the latest pricing but they are now priced at USD 599, which makes them more affordable.

How do I access recall features and other features

The owners of Copilot+ PCs are able to access the brand-new AI features after downloading the March 2025 Windows non-security security preview update. But, European customers will need to wait for a few months before they can experience the new features within their area.

Recall is an opt-in function which takes pictures in the background to help users to quickly locate the previous tasks and activities. In addition, it acts as an AI assistant to write, providing the ability to summarize, grammar corrections writing rewriting, and even disappearance from photos.
